Where Are They Now?
The Story
Although much of Muriel's showband career is chronicled in our
feature about the history of the Dave Glover Band, we feel her solo
success in Eurovision warrants a feature about her career in show
business as both a member of the band and a solo artist.
Muriel Galway was born in
Newtownards, Co. Down just outside Belfast. Her parents were James
and Margaret Galway who would both later work in the Ulster Printing
Works in Newtownards. As a child her parents said she was always
singing around the house.
