The Story

The origins of the Seasons appear to be that they were a breakaway band from the Finnavons. Based in Castleblaney, their first record was released on Denver Records, which was originally started by John McCauley, but soon became partnered with Big Tom and the Mainliners. Managed by Big Tom's manager, John McCormack, the band benefited from their very successful stable mate. The band was fronted by Gerry Black, who had previously also been with the Hilton Showband.
