Jimmy Higgins of the International Showband based in Manchester, where are you now along with Chris Mulcahhey

Jimmy Higgins is now a presenter with Galway Bay FM H e presents a Showband Show every Thursday nignt between 8 and 10 pm ,
Christy Mulachy is also living in Galway and gigging with a local band

You refer to the "International Showband based in Manchester" Was this band once the resident band at the Carousel Club-an Irish dance hall?
I played guitar in that band.

Yes the International was the resident band at the Carousel Club, Manchester. Unfortunately they were not appreciated by the punters (including me) who came to see the guest bands from Ireland and usually retired to the bar or restraurant downstairs when they came on. We could still hear the music though!!!
