Hi guys, I need a hand here,  I bumped into a guy tonight called TJ from Carlow, I didnt catch his surname, though it could have been boylan or byrne or something, he was a bit lost and looking for the m50 so i went out of my way and drove in front of him as far as the Red Cow.... as I did him a favour I know he really wanted to repay my kind act so I told him i wouldd drop down for tea sometime, id really like to do that.

He also said he was connected with the show band scene,


Any helpers here?

Could have been TJ Byrne the very famous manager of The Royal Showband.

Cheers for the reply liamo, yep, i saw that on another site, they did tell me their address, but i dont remember the number of the door, ( if you have parked beside the red cow roundabout you would know why there was little time to pass the details) he also said ask anyone where TJ lives, so im guessing he is a well known guy.

The internet searches hasnt thrown up an answer, yet

but Im sure ill get my cake reward =o)

I may be wrong but I strongly doubt that the person you met was TJ Byrne of the Royal Showband. I don't know for sure if TJ is still with us but if he is he would be a good age by now.
But more importantly the notion the a guy like TJ who had driven every road in the country a thousand times  would need directions the the M50 just doesn't make sense to me.

I think you should look elsewhere for your mystery man.

Hi, That's a good point too. I had thought of what barry said and what you have now said when I replied to you. With the state of traffic and roads it's not difficult to get lost.

My ex girlfriends father used to play in a showband, my best friends father also was in a show band
and me.......  well I sung backing vocals on a well known member of the Cadets Showband solo single!
