Title: Capitol Questions. Post by liamo on 09/09/06 at 16:21:23
I'll leave these for yis. Like the Royal and Miami, the Capitol had three members in the charts. Who were they?
Also, the late Butch Moore had two NO. One's about rain. What were they? 8) |

Correct again on all counts Trisha. One of the others to release records was the great Don Long. I'll have to think about the others :-[

The other two to release records were Paddy Cole and John Drummond. Iwas thinking of THE Capitol and John wasn't one of those. 8)

You should give that John Drummond & The Capitol single a play as it is a great number called Monkey Time written by Curtis Mayfield and the song is regarded as a northern soul classic Johns version even gets a mention in soul books. While we are at it we might as well finish off with yet another singer Tony O Leary & The Capitol with the track She Meant Everything which was one of the entries in our Song For Europe back in 1970.When you think about it Butch started it off with our eurovision entry back in 65 did Tony end it in 70 for The Capitol Showband ? ;) ;) ;)
