A great Irish band from the 80's fronted by Peter Gamble
They had a debut album called 'Shades of liberty' , released some superb singles (with great remixes -Ie: booming drums!!) The other band members were (from memory) Richard Collett Tony Gault (now the drum tech for King Crimson) Alex White ....forget the others at the moment but they will come back to me I am sure They released an album called 'Walk on Fire' and 'Deep in the heart of nowhere' then vanished. There is absolutely nothing about this band online which is a shame and any mention of them is almost an after thought, I wish shades of liberty would be released on CD as my vinyl and cassette copies have seen better days and even transferring them to CD didn't do any good Anyone else remember them? |

I don't know if this is of any help but I found 'Shades of Liberty' for sale on the internet. Go to: www.gemm.com. There are other records of this group also. Hope it helps...

It's a shame no-one really remembers them as they were a great band , especially live, guess I am showing my age :P ;D |

Don't worry about the age...that's just one of the things that we've all got in common on this web-site. Read some of our comments & you'll see the rest! ;D
