I would really like to contact any ex members of the President's Showband as I was the bass player in the early 60s. It would be great to hear from any of the band who are still around. I have'nt heard from any of them since the band broke up in 1965.

Hi Woody,
I and the McGreevy brothers Joe and Paul, had played together in various bands and were founder members of the Presidents and actually came up with the name. I also played bass and I am wondering when you joined the band. Must have been after i left?

Hi Aileach, I joined the band sometime in 1963 around the same time as Billy Bingham ex Clubsound. and Dessie Lennox. It must have been around then as the band photo taken in front of Stormont was in 1964 and I had been in the band about a year then. I believe Joe McGreevy is living somewhere in Bangor although I have'nt been in contact. Hope this helps, Woody
