Hi John, The Farmers Sons manager, Liam Ryan owned The Palm Beach Portmarnock. 8)

THANKS liamo that I cant dispute as i never arrived on the scene till 1971 / 72 It was The Olympic Balroom in Camden St i was thinking about ok/
He also ran The National in Parnell Sq and The CYMS in kildare
Any luck with he other Questions ????

I hope I'm right that he owned it. Liam Ryan manager of the Casino Showband at the time.

Might I have a go at one of your questions? I think that it's Gerry Lynch who played trombone in the band then left for Canada.

LEFT THE FARMERS TO JOIN THE DUBLIN CORP 1N 1975.
STILL LIVING IN CANADA MARRIED WITH 3 CHILDREN.
MY SON RYAN PLAYES IN A BAND CALLED SCENARIO, YOU CAN HEAR SOME OF THEIR MUSIC ON MYSPACE.COM/SCENARIO1.

Liamo,

Okay, The answer is Fergus Gibson (TV Astrologer, Fortune Teller and all round mystic)
Fergie played bass in lots of bands but I suppose he is best known for the many years he spent with the Earl Gill band (I THINK he was in the original Hoedowners but I wouldn't swear to it).

As far as I know he still does the occasional gig.
