I am trying to find a copy of the record football crazy which featured the commentary by the Great Micháel O Hehir. In the song he was Commentating on a match in which Sean Dunphy and the Howdowners, Ear Gill and many other Irish stars were mentioned.
  The Classic line being "And Earl Gill has let this one in. He's let the ball go right between his legs.

I think this song appears on a DVD released by Sharp music in Dungannon called the Irish Showband legends.  I understand it refers to a genuine charity match in which many of the showband stars appeared.  I know the match is discussed on the DVD and I think the song is played in the background althought I'm not 100% sure.  If you contact sharp music in Dingannon they may be able to confirm or correct my "hunch"
