does anybody know if a band called boru from arklow are still on the go? or is tommy breen still playing with another group?

Hi there,

As far as I know Boru don't play as a group now only once or twice a year. Tommy runs or owns a pub in Spain or somewhere. I'm from Arklow so i'll enquire from Tommy's brother and give you more detail as soon as I can.

thanks always used to watch them in the abbey lounge and the laurels in dublin. 15 years ago. trying to get a reunion of the 'choir'. any info most welcome.

Hi There,

At last I met Tommy Breen's brother and got the info about Tommy and Boru. Boru get together a couple of times a year when Tommy is home. Tommy owns a pub, The Randy Leprechaun, on Gran Canaria. He doesn't play with another band but from time to time himself and another fellow get together, informally, and have a session.
