Title: New Release
Post by liamo on 11/11/06 at 16:54:16
I read somewhere yesterday of a new recording by Cliff Richard and Wee Daniel. The Carpenters Yesterday Once More. The bookies are tipping it to be the Christmas number 1.
Exciting isn't it :-[

Xmas no.1's always attract speculation...Cliff has 2 songs out this season....the one mentioned above & a double A-side - '21st Century Christmas' & a re-vamped version of 'Move it' (many of the older members will remember that one). This time he's got Brian May (from Queen) featured on it. Rivetting stuff this... M

The new recording of "Move It" by Cliff and Brian May is not a patch on the original recording by Cliff. A classic, one of the best British R n R didcs of all time. The version with Brian May is CRAP.

Good point. Haven't heard the version with Brian May. I did see Cliff Moving It a couple of times in the last few years on TV and it was very good.

Actually being a longtime Queen & Brian May fan i have to say
this arrangement brings "Move It" into the modern times, not a bad
effort there vocally by young Cliff either .....actually i have a 45 of the original lying around here somewhere :-) :D
