Post by colcheddar on 04/20/08 at 22:30:28
Hi,

Im lookinh any details of or stories about my dad, John Patrick Hoy.  Played on the 60's / 70's with various showbands and bands.  I know very little of his music days other than he was based in Belfast / Jordanstown, was blonde, played bass and guitar, favoured a Burns bison bass.  Spoke of Eric Bell and Jim Armstrong and Harry Baird. I got the impression they would have known him.  Worked as a mechanic in various places, went on to become an instructor on the YTP / YTS and then a guest house owner in Portrush.  Anyyhing would be appreciated.  Thanks
