just to let all fans know that glen curtin has passed away, the sad news was given out yesterday by gerry byrne  on his radio show

Glen  Curtin was a true gentleman, good singer and nice guy, we must all make sure that we never forget his contribution  in thedevelopment of irish music.

I have only just started to listen to the showband music , again I grew up in London and was lucky enough to see a lot of the showbands in person in the lates 70's and Glen was a great singer, and thanks to dvds , cds etc, he is gone but not forgoton

This is even more poignant because Glen passed away within 24 hours of the late Brendan O'Brien's 4th anniversary.  They were brothers in law I believe.
