As a young lad i spent all my Summers in Castlerea as my Mother and Father were from there,my Mother from Frenchpark and my dad from Ballindrimly [excuse the spelling].My first visit to the Casino as a fifteen year old was magic,it was gigantic.I went with my cousin Martin who lived in Arm we would walk down the Railway line to get there.As a sixty year old i still spend a few weekends a year in Castlerea with my cousin who is the Postman for Main Street. Can anyone confirm if back in 65 66 the Casino was the biggest Ballroom in Europe.
