As a former member of irish r+b group the interns
voted number 1 r+b group in ireland in 1966 city week
poll.

It would  be good to see more of the r+b groups
get a mention as in the 60s there was a fantastic
scene in ireland.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the comment and I agree. Unfortunately I don't have, nor can I find much info on those bands. There is a site which features the wide variety of "beat groups" in the 60's in Ireland at http://www.showbands.net.
It's a great site run by Francis Kennedy with more emphasis on the 50's and 60's.

Hi Paul, were the Interns Lisburn based? That name rings a bell.  Smiley

Hi Paul,

Who were the other members of the Interns?  I remember the name and that you were the singer but I don't rember the others.

Weren't you with the "original" Sunshine - when they were a soul band?  Vinty McGonigle on bass, Pepysi on guitar?  Who else? - George Meakin managing perhaps?

Are you doing any singing nowadays Paul or what are you up to?

Regards
RBG

What would you rather be or a wasp?
