This is something which has been driving me crazy and which noone has been able to answer for me so far. Back in the late '70s or early '80s there was a silly song with the hook lyrics "It's A Bird, It's A Plane, Oh No......It's John Wayne!"
I think the name of the band was something like "Rocky Sharpe and the Replays" or maybe I'm getting a couple of band names mixed up there. I think the band was from Dublin and I'm pretty sure they played at least one of those "Larks in the Park" back in those days. I do know that the lead singer was some kind of sarcastic maniac. They were a little punky too. They might have been a one-hit or a two-hit wonder. What the heck was their name and where are they now?? No Internet searches seem to yield anything about that song or group!
Thanks.
