Brendan O'Loughlin just emailed me to tell me he has learned of the passing of Peter Ainscough last Saturday, October 23rd. Peter was with The Express Showband from Dublin, among others. Our condolences go out to Peter's family and friends.

Benny McNeil, superb former  lead trumpet with the RTE Concert Orchestra and  member of every decent big band in the country over the last 40 years sadly passed away last week. Benny was a true character as well as being a musician of thr first rank.

He will be greatly missed.
