We received sad news from both Angela McCrudden and her sister, Paula Beattie concerning the death of their father, bass player Gerry McCrudden from Belfast. Gerry was a founder member of the Grenadiers Showband and he continued to play with the band until they stopped touring. Gerry continued to perform in clubs around Belfast, right up until the time of his death on February 17, 2006.
