I am doing research on Irish showband music from the post World War II years in Ireland.  I will be in Ireland this summer and am hoping to interview musicians who played in showbands during the 1950s and early 60s.  I am also interested in meeting promoters, dance hall owners, and other associated with this music scene from these years.  Please email me at rmiller@hampshire.edu and I will be delighted to tell you more about this project.
