hi there, and hello to all here, wow this sounds like a fab site, as  a teenager from way back then, the memories are going to come flooding in, hopefully all good memories,
always  had a big interest in music,
at the moment i am after writeing a good pop dance gospel song, (even if i say so myself)

my fave band way back then were tweed, wow i would love to turn back the hands of time for a while, but for the time being i guess i can dream,  as they used to say back then,
good night and god bless, now im off to try and tune in to radio luxy, and hear the beautifull good nite

Do you remember when Chips had the powerplay on Luxemberg with 'Twice a Week', same song writers as 'Doctors Orders' I believe. I was only a kid but I loved that song. Was amazed years later when I ended up getting to know them through our mutual management- Louis Walsh.

Yes...those memories come flooding back. Tweed were a terrific band and a genuinely nice bunch of guys!

Cheers

Roll Eyes hi, yes tweed were more my style,
they  were  more in to the pop/rock , i think they covered the letter,  i dont remember chips on the power play, but i do remember tony kennys heart of stone, i think it was,

as someone said to me way back then as i was brushing  my long hair, its  great to be young, how true,

SOMEWHERE ON DOWN THE LINE     song words

hey hey heyyyyyyyyyyyy (eckoing from a distance)

oh why  why oh why , do you look so  down down  down,
oh why are you so sad and blue,
dont you know that tomorrow is another day, and a new day can bring a bright new beginning, yea a new day can be the start of the rest of your life,

chorus,

hold on tight to your dreams and your hopes,
dont give in, dont give up, and you will see that somewhere on down the line, in gods own time, everything will work out fine, far better than before far better than you ever imagained,

i know  sorrow is leaning hard on you now , all so heavy, and tears are not far from your eyes,
hang on in there,
jesus loves you
knows how you are feeling, cares about you and your cares,
oh yes he does
look to  happier times, beleive in better days
your best times are just on hold
