Brendan O'Brien is my father, I live in Canada, I am heading home tomorrow night to bury my Dad, I am presently listening to his music on my PC, I am so devastated! he was a sweet, gentle person that idolized his 5 kids, I will miss him so much, thanks for the kind words!

Saddened to learn of the death of Brendan O'Brien. One of Ireland's first home based pop idols, he brought great deal of enjoyment and pleasure to all of us during those magnificent showband years. Deepest sympathy extended to all the members of his family. May he Rest in Peace.

I had the great pleasure of working with Brendan with Stage 2.He was a real gent and a very funny guy.He was alway kind and courteous with his many fans and a joy to have a few jars with.May he Rest in Peace.
