Maisie McDaniel and the Nevada - 1965

In 1965, manager George O'Reilly wanted to spice the band up by adding a female vocalist and selected Sligo's Maisie McDaniel.
Unfortunately, Maisie was injured in a car accident a month later and was replaced by Eileen Kelley, who would become known as
"The Blond Bombshell," and drop her first name becoming known simply as Kelley.

Left to right: Jimmy Clarke (guitar), Pete Hayden (drums), Tommy Hayden (sax), Jim O'Connor (clarinet), Maisie McDaniel (vocals),
Wally Meehan (guitar), Mark Leech (trombone), Jack McGuiness (bass) and John Cleary (trumpet).
