The Real McCoy, one of the early pop bands
The Real McCoy was formed
by members of The Greenbeats, which broke up when John Keogh left to join RTE.
Left to right:
Keith Donald (sax-later of Moving Hearts), Kevin McAlea (who later worked with
Kate Bush),
Dave Pennefather (currently Director of Universal Records, Ireland), Mike
O'Brien (vocals),
Eddie Campbell (who has since passed away), Dave Coady (who went on to the Big
8)
and Liam McKenna (of the Creatures).
