Michael Brennan sent us this photo of the Crofton Hotel, a popular entertainment venue in Carlow.
The entrance was formally the cellar, but the ground was lowered in the 1960's to add another story.
The Hotel became the Seven Oaks Hotel and continued to run dances in the early 1980's.
