Opened in 1968, the Silver Swan was a great spot for music of all types in the 70's and 80's. The hotel closed on
December 22nd, 2003 and was finally demolished in 2006 to make way for a new commercial development in Sligo which
includes apartments (which have been empty for more than a decade) and the new
Glasshouse Hotel which opened in November, 2006, but does not run dances
