Rory Gallagher in the mid 1970's
Coming out of Ireland's
showband tradition, Rory was with the Fontana Showband, which changed it's name
to the Impact Showband. He soon tired of the showband lifestyle and formed his
own power trio, Taste.
After a couple of years, he finally went solo and the rest is history. Rory
sadly passed away in 1995 from
complications during surgery, but his legacy and contribution to Irish Music
will never be forgotten..
