News: 40th Reunion Scheduled

2012 marks forty years since we left Summerhill in Sligo and started on our life journeys which have taken some of us to the four corners of the earth.

To mark the occasion, we are planning a 40th Reunion Celebration which will take place Saturday, September 29th, 2012 in the Glasshouse Hotel in Sligo. Be sure to mark the date in your calendar as we would love to have as big a turn out as possible on the night.

Details have yet to be finalised, but currently we are planning to get together for Mass in the College around 5 pm, followed by a tour of the New Summerhill College which is nearing completion and then a meal in the Glasshouse at around 7:30 pm. We are also hoping to arrange some other events (such as a golf outing) for those interested in making a weekend out of it. We will post updates here on the site as soon as they become available.

We are also negotiating special hotel rates for those who will be traveling and staying the weekend. As part of the dinner, we will also be putting together a multi-media presentation and if you have any photos from your years at Summerhill please email them to me by clicking here.
