Maple Ballroom, Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan

The Maple Ballroom in Rockcorry was owned by John McCormick, who would go on to manage the affairs of Ireland's biggest
country star "Big" Tom McBride in the mid 1960's. Legend has it he discovered the band at a local dance and booked them for
the Maple for the princely sum of £25. The ballroom, played host to all the big names of the era, but after closing was
used for commercial businesses including a frozen food storage company. It now lies empty as far as we know.
