I am getting desperate so we have to go back to the old reliable Eurovision well actually our National Song Contest.What song trashed in our finals actually got a better chart placing in our charts much better than the song that represented us in the Eurovision.We are talking Irish charts.

Yes..TP, you are getting desperate! Could the answer be: Colm Wilkinson (Nationals winner) reached no. 8 in Irish charts & Reform got to no.3 in '78? I had to research for this one... ???
