He recorded a number of albums for EMI in the mid 1970s.  The first, "New Day", was produced by John Drummond in Trend Studios.
He hailed from North Dublin, and among his peers were ace guitar player, Richie Taylor, now a rock journalist.  Jamie Stone was not his real name, but a stage name dreamed up by John Drummond for Carl Corcoran.  He emigrated to the USA with his musician wife, Rosemarie Taylor (recorded the superb "Taylormaid" album, mid 1970s), but returned to Ireland in the early 2000s to start a new career in broadcasting  - tune in to Lyric FM in the mornings to hear Carl's breakfast show of light classical music.
