I have learned this morning of the passing of one of my colleagues from The Red 7/Columbia. A very talented musician, Jim Tyreel played with The Red 7, The Columbia, The Ranchers and The Jim Tyrell Trio.
My sympathies go to his wife Linda, son Ronan, brothers Pat and Mick and all the family.  RIP.

Hi Liamo,

Sad news. The band upstairs keeps getting bigger.

Sincere condolences to his family in these sad days.

Barry Scully and family.

Sad news indeed. Our thoughts go out to Jim's family at this traumatic period in their life. May God be good to a musician, arranger and producer.

Our condolences go out to Jim's family and friends at his sad passing. He touched many lives with his music and the world will be a sadder place without him.

What a poignant photograph of his funeral, in the Irish Times last week.  The funeral procession was led by a small bunch of musicians, some of whom I recognised, others I did not.  Lovely, sad, photograph

RIP
